Bible Reading Plan Guide
This past January, our church family started an incredible shared adventure: reading the Bible together. We’re taking it at a meaningful pace, reading through the New Testament this year and the Old Testament over the next two. There is something truly special about knowing that while we each read personally at home, we are traveling through the very same scriptures simultaneously as a community.
We would love for you to join us! Just click on the images below to download the appropriate reading guides for each segment of the year. If you prefer a physical copy, be sure to pick one up at the entrance on Sunday mornings. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or are just jumping in today, it is never too late to open the Word and start your journey!
Deepen Your Time in the Word with the REAP Method
Reading the Bible is about so much more than just checking a box; it’s about truly connecting with God. To help you get the absolute most out of our reading plans, we love using the REAP method. It’s a simple, beautiful way to guide your daily study:
R — READ: As you prepare to read, first take a moment and prepare your heart and focus your mind with a simple prayer. “Lord, here I am”. Read the passage, maybe more than once.
E — EXAMINE: What is the context, who is talking, who are they talking to, what issue is being addressed, etc.? Ask the basic questions of who, what, where, when, why and how. Then finally, what did I learn?
A — APPLY: How does what I read apply to my life? How do I need to live? Consider reading with a pen in hand, noting comments, questions, and applications. Don’t be afraid to mark the text with underlines, circles, etc.
P — PRAY: Look at your reading time as a conversation, God speaks to you through Scripture. As you respond to God in your heart & interact with His Word, spiritual truth comes to life.
